Maroca

Type:
artificial reef, pleasure boat, USA

Specs:
( 50 ft )
Sunk:
1987 - Shinnecock Artificial Reef
Depth:
GPS:
40°48.171' -72°28.392'

New York lists this as simply "50-foot vessel". I had an old note of a vessel Maroca on the Shinnecock reef, and "Maroca" is clearly spray-painted on the transom of this boat. A mystery solved!

Whether or not Maroca is its real name or just graffiti, I don't know.
