The Zeeliner served Fire Island (Seaview and Ocean Bay Park) from 1958 to 1984. She was then taken offshore to become a reef, but the engines were shipped to Gulfcraft to be installed into the Stranger which was launched in the spring of 1985. Zeeliner drifted out of the reef area before finally sinking. I imagine there is nothing left of her empty wooden hull.
