(c) Rich GalianoUnder ConstructionThis site is continually under construction, and your comments and contributions are welcomed.

As you can see, this website is not a monument to my own glory, like many others you may find. Rather, it is intended as a useful resource for other divers in the area who share a common interest. It started out as just an exercise in web-coding, and it has grown considerably as I find new material on various subjects.

The real point of all this is diving, and in New Jersey, that means wrecks and inlets. There is simply no way that one person ( i.e.: me ) could visit every wreck, river, and beach in the state. Here is where you can help out:

Corrections & Contributions

If you find any errors in these pages, no matter how small, please tell me about them. I don't like to publish mistakes. If you have any further information on any subject in this website, or a good photograph, drawing, or illustration, please send it in.

Additional Information

If you would like more information on any subject in this website, then I suggest picking up any of the sources in the References pages of each section. If you are asking about Cape May or anywhere else in deep south Jersey, I can answer your question right now - I don't know. Ditto for Long Island - I rarely go to either place. I don't know anything about fishing either.

If you are from elsewhere and are inquiring about diving in New Jersey on a vacation, please see Diving Conditions first. You questions are already answered there.

Could you recommend ...

No, I cannot recommend anything. See Directory

I am a reporter investigating controversy ...

You've come to the wrong place.

GPS & Loran Numbers

I will not give out any numbers, so don't ask.

Photographs, Illustrations & Quotations

If a photograph or illustration has a (c) and name burned into the image itself, then I can probably supply a high-resolution version, or put you in touch with the owner. Such images are not necessarily free. For images without a credit, I cannot supply any version, and any requests will necessarily be refused.

I do not like to be quoted. I have no wish to be unnecessarily exposed to the criticism of wacko environmentalists, DIR fanatics, overzealous historians, warm-water neophytes, and old-fashioned gorilla divers. If you ask, the answer will most likely be no.

Students & Teachers - grade school through university

Forget what I just said above. For academic purposes, feel free to copy and use any part of this website. You do not need to ask my permission, although I would be interested in seeing your results.

Linking to NJScuba.net

NJScuba.net is link-friendly, and I encourage anyone who does their own web work to create links to here. Please copy and use the swimming diver logo for this purpose.

You may also link directly to any individual html page, and even frame them up within your own website if you like. All pages follow the same format, 665 pixels wide, and all internal links are well-behaved and will not "break out" of enclosing frames. Badly-behaved external links have been deleted.

You do not need to ask permission to create a link to NJScuba.net, although if you'd like to drop me a line afterwards, I'd be interested to see what you've done

My one exception to welcoming all links is that bottomless pool of ignorance and stupidity known as scubaboard.com. Don't bother making or following links from there - they will all be bounced away.

Link-Exchange

NJScuba.net maintains an exhaustive listing of local diving businesses and organizations in the Directory section. As such, I have probably already done my part in exchanging links, and a reciprocal link from your website would be greatly appreciated. If you have a relevant local link that is not listed, please let me know and I will gladly add it to the appropriate list. However, I am not interested in exchanging links around the world, and will most likely just ignore requests that do not meet the criteria above.

Other Complaints - Style, Formatting, HTML, etc

It's my website, and I'll do what I damn please.
